So... What are you guys looking forward to trying this year?

Just what the title says....anything and everything related to Rods, Reels, Terminal Tackle, Plastics, what others are using, what works, what doesn't work, and anything else you want to talk about regarding equipment.

Those are some pretty sweet display reels, especially like the baitcaster. Even better if you actually use them!

Both reels were my grandfathers, the 301A has never been used

In all seriousness , I added some new Powell rods to the line-up from the Max and Endurance series that I'm really looking forward to trying. Models chosen are well balanced and the rod and components are very durable. I'll pick up 3 new curado's in the upcoming weeks to throw on them.

Anyone else here use a Powell rod?

Gary Dobyns was once the designer for Powell rods, although I haven't tried any i've heard nothing but good things on them.
Also if I remember correctly, Biggs used to own quite a few before making the jump to the dark side!

I used to have a couple. I had the 704c and 684cb.
I really liked them. I've looking into buying a couple more but since they upped the price for rods under 7" I had to pass. Nice rods for sure though.
