I saw this recipe the other day and decided to try it with some deer burger. It's a pretty simple prep. Just season the burger and after laying out some bacon, flatten the burger on to it. Then add a strip of cheese and roll it into a log. Pop it in the oven at 360F.

After 25 mins, start basting it with bbq sauce every 5 mins for another 20 minutes. Then take it out and roll t i some crushed corn chips.

Slice it thin and serve it with a dipping sauce. We used a sweet chili dipping sauce and it was fantastic.
For a few future meals, I picked up a tub at the dollar store to soak a few roasts in a salt brine. I used 2 deer roasts and 2 bear roasts. I'll let this soak for 10-14 days and we'll be ready to enjoy an awesome salt meat cabage stew....or as the newfies call it, jigs dinner.

The salted meat will make a great piece of meat to give to a friend as well.
