Hi everyone,
Just thought I'd throw a quick report out there on my trip to the Rideau today. I launched out of Kars and found some spots in very shallow amongst the old bullrushes and some fallen wood. Caught lots of panfish, a few OOS bass (largemouth and rock) and my first couple of crappie, yippee! LOL. We only stayed out for a few hours as it was just a quick trip with my son to toss some small stuff and make the sure the boat was in order, etc.
All the fish were caught VERY shallow, in 1-2 FOW and they were quite aggressive. Fun day all in all and gorgeous weather!

Nice catch!! Was just out on the canal today and there are TONS of panfish and crappie and huge carp swimming along. will post later!
