rain is a good thing
It is Friday with the weatherman saying rain and a lot of it...why is it that everyone I ask about going fishing today looks at me like I have 3 heads? overcast walleye I'd say are tempting enough

If I wasn't working, I'd be doing the same.
Yes, the bite is very very good, before the rain or storm.
I actually one of the few who don't mind fishing in the rain. I'm usually one of the only ones out there, so I get to pick and choose where I fish.

Don't mind fishing in rain either. Last September I went out on White lake with a steady light rain with a newby and in 3 hours we boated over 30 bass and pike. No record holders but tons of fun.
Worth it.

Just got back from fishing the Rideau from shore, caught a musky, pike, a few walleye, and rockbass! There's great fishing to be had on days like this but be prepared to get wet

I love fishing in the rain. As long as it's muggy and warm to go with it. And not too windy.

Haha! I thought about that after.
But freezing, F-ing cold, with needle-like rain pelleting you in the face? That I don't love

Before or after rain = good fishing.
In my experience, and I've fished in the rain more times than I care to share, fishing in the rain is just not worth it.
Never caught a big fish and never caught large numbers of fish while it was raining.
