Lost oar at Constance Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Lost oar at Constance Lake

Post by ginsen »

Bought a pair of Aluminum oars last Friday for the inflatable, went out fishing right away until dark. Just figured I lost one of them at the launch (the one at the north side of the lake). Not worth a lot of money, but feel quite unset as I lost it the as day I bought it and I have to think what to do with the one oar left.

I have to think what to do with the one oar left.
Give it to your partner and make them paddle. You were nice enough to take them in your boat after all.

Good luck.

I didn't know there were 2 boat launches there (I'm assuming that you don't mean the one at Constance Lake Lodge. If you tell me where it is I'll stop by and see if it's there on my way home tonight.

I can return it at Arnprior or whenever.

I assume you wouldn't find it, it's been almost a week by now.

Yeah, there are 2 launches, both public as I know.

To get to this one, turn right(if you head north) at the greenish gas station on dunrobin. It will lead you all the way to the north side of the lake. After you pass the railroad, turn left at the first cross road, go all the way down you will get to the launch. It's good for a smaller boat as there's not alot of space compared to the other launch at CL Lodge, it's squeezed between 2 private properties.

I would suggest the manufacturers add a oar lock at the stern of the boat, the left oar can be used as a scull..
