I had another good weekend catching some Ottawa river gators. Saturday started off pretty slow, hit the water at 0900 and was into my 1st bay where I caught some big ones last weekend. Water temp was in the high 50's and fishing was really slow, I did not see any fish at all until working my way out and had a hit boat side that I totally dropped the ball on. Needless to say I left that spot a tad disappointed. Motored up river and was into my 2nd spot, another shallow bay 3fow or less and the fish were on. Got one right away on one of my homemade swim jigs. Solo fishing makes for crappy camera work and the only pic I snapped was a boat side pic. Ended the day with 4 pike and one OOS largie.
Back at her Sunday morning with the gf at 0900. Went right to were i ended the day on Saturday and was on to a beauty right away.

Ended the day catching a few more but nothing bigger then the 1st.
All fish were caught in 3 FOW or less, once the water temp hit the 70's I called it the day.
Weapons of choice were a Weapons of Bass Destruction Lure Co 1/8 Oz Pearl Swim Jig tipped with a 4 inch Reaction Strike chunky shad and a Weapons of Bass Destruction Lure Co 1/4 Oz Candy Gill Swim Jig tipped with a 5 inch Berkley Ripple Shad. A 7'2'' MH Shimano compre worm and jig rod paired with a 7.2.1 Shimano Curado spooled with 20 Lbs Power pro was the gear I used.

All fishermen are liars except for you and me, and to tell you the truth, I'm not sure about you.
