Hi! going to fish at petrie island for some Pike and walleye but don't know what to use. I also don't really know where to fish at Petrie but I'm guessing crappie bay Any feedback is awesome. Thanks!
Are you fishing from a boat, if so there are two launches at Petrie. If you launch on the more expensive one it is a little easier getting out to the main channel. For Pike look for weeds and chuck spinnerbaits. There are some weediness on the Quebec side across from Petrie that can be good. Rockland is a good choice as well, lots a weedy shoreline to fish there and the launch has been free the past two years (I haven't checked this year).
If you are fishing form shore than crappie bay is a good choice. I see people fishing by the culverts a lot too so you could give them a try. Spinnerbaits are great to cast from shore because they don't snag very easily and you never know what you will catch on them.
