If that's true, the 'free' launches are getting scarcer all the time!!

Re: Parking fees at White Lake boat launch
Did they finally post a sign? I was speaking with the director of recreation as part of the BAA event there a few weeks ago. I said it was unfair that many ppl didn't need to pay but as an organization we were forced to pay.
Technically the launch is federal property. But, the parking areas at the bottom and up next to the museum are municipal, and that's what you're paying to use.
All-in-all, the launch is in good shape though. The dock could REALLY use some floating wooden parts, as the tall concrete slab of a pier is very difficult for most people to climb up to.

No such thing as a free launch, just one that someone else pays to maintainCyber wrote:You mean the launch at Waba Museum??!!YakAttack wrote:Just an fyi, you now need a parking pass at the public boat launch at the north end of White Lake.

You can get the yearly passes at the township office which is near the corner of Calabogie and 417.

Plowjock,
I believe that you can purchase the passes at the Antrim Truck Stop or Robin's Confectionery in Braeside

Thanks, ValleyLad for the info.
Guess this pass covers a few launch areas.
Seems like the launches are Free, you're paying for the parking privilege.
You all know how expensive close to waterfront property is.
Is there a fee for launching/parking at the Boeing ramp?
Is there a dock at Clay banks launch now?

There isn't a fee for the Boeing ramp and the Claybank ramp has an aluminum dock provided by Home Hardware and the local Fish and Game Club
Re: Parking fees at White Lake boat launch
Before heading to Claybank or the Boeing plant launch............You might want to read a couple of other post here about Thievery in Arnprior.......I bet they haven't had any thefts at the White lake launch ?? Things that make you go Hmmm....Maybe go spend my money in White Lake....Just saying...
Re: Parking fees at White Lake boat launch
What about the launch at Sunset Bay? Is it still OK? I hunted the north shore for many years but it's been a long time now since I've been down that road.
Cheers

Smitty ,
I doubt it has a fee because the North end at the museum is McNab \Braeside (Renfrew County) and Sunset Bay is in Lanark County

Good to know!
Are there any fees to launch / park at Mississippi Lake, Newboro, Big Rideau or Muskrat Lakes that anyone knows of?
Thanks
