My stepdaughter caught a juvenile pike yesterday. I've never seen markings quite like these. Very neat

I have caught a few like that on the Rideau system. I always considered them a Tiger Musky, or natural cross between pike and musky.
Cool looking fish for sure.

A rare catch. It is a cross between a pike and Musky.
I've never caught one but a guy at work has.
Nice looking fish.

100 % pike as Netman originally stated. Fairly common and see them
confused as tigers on the net quite often.
Good on ya getting the young lady out fish n, neat for sure.

Looks alot like a hybrid. But without checking the pores or cheek scales, it would be inconclusive. So I wouldn't say definitely...

			Hey there

That is a nice paint job on that fish! Hopefully she was brave enough to get a pic with it, I’ve heard those get called different things; chain pike? Grass pike? Those handles are fairly old school mind you.
For reference, here is a “hybrid” or Tiger Musky.

Why is that a pic of a pike?

Looks very different from the posted identification image.
