I braved the wide open Shirleys Bay this am with wind gusting upwards of 50km. Happy to get out but it was a short stint and I was skunked. Decided that I would get out for the late afternoon/dusk bite since I wanted a fish on my opening day but the wind was not any better, the temperature had dropped, so I decided to hit a sheltered location at about 2:00. Turns out the wind did not care that it was sheltered. However, the fish were happy:

Lots of marks on my sonar so after the pike I cut up some minnows and was rewarded with a bunch of perch. Called it quits early due to cold!
Got home a few minutes ago, thawed out my face and before I posted this decided I needed a "cold one". Weird eh? Must be a Canadian thing.
