Anyone 3D Print Fishing Stuff???

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Anyone 3D Print Fishing Stuff???

Post by scarkner »

I recently got a 3D printer and have been having lots of fun designing and printing stuff like the ice-hut rod holder shown below. It screws to the floor and it even glows in the dark!

I have noticed online that there are hundreds of "fishing" related files that can be printed including lures, rods and reels.

Does anyone else on here print fishing stuff in 3D? If so, I would love to see some pics of what you made.

Or maybe I am alone at Fish-hawk in this nerdy pursuit...

Pretty cool rod holder and like the glow aspect to it. I don't do the 3D but just got my airbrush and paints to do some blades, baits and spoons for the soon to be open water fishing.

Genius! I was debating getting a 3D printer wondering if I could ever justify the price with useful prints... But fishing lures and gear never crossed my mind! OMG that's genius!

Still hard to (normally) justify the cost since there are lots of 3D printing services out there (check www.3dhubs.com) . Many people in Ottawa and tons of materials to choose from.

But then again, if you can get a good used one (like I did) and just enjoy seeing the darn thing work... well... giving it to someone else to print just isn't the same :-)
