The season always starts off with Crappie, it could be Perch but I just don't like fishing Perch. Something about the sun going down, the light of a lantern & hum of my flasher is just soothing!
The Walleye bite has been decent along the River most have been small males with the odd female I let them girls swim home.

Of course where there's Perch there's Pike my 2nd least favorite fish!
My favorite of all fish to target threw the ice is Lake trout!
First outing no so great but still a great fight!
Second outing wasn't a great # day but this fish definitely made my day!
Hoping for 6 more weeks of ice...but I'll take what I can get!
