Tackle (Reel) import from Japan - customs

Hi can anybody give me a hint about how much will be the taxes and custom fees for a 600 C$ reel imported straight from Japan ?
I would appreciate any info on the subject you might have. Thank you .

Thank you both for your quick replies . I kind of get the idea . I will think about it . What if one buys something used ( like from a eBay auction) and is no bill there ?

I haven't bought much used but I would assume you would still get hit with at least GST and maybe some crazy brokerage fees.

Notice in CNDbasshunters pic, that there are $84.19 in brokerage. That is high so I am assuming this was shipped Via UPS as they have crazy brokerage costs. if shipped by USPS, they are usually very reasonable.

As per my PM, I do not recall there being any brokerage with any of my shipments from the website I provided.

UPS.. sucks, ive order lots of reels from japan. If shipped EMS it's hit or miss. Sometimes they dont charge the duty, sometimes they do.

They do only go by the claim value.... so, if you are risky
