White lake and Calabogie Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

White lake and Calabogie Lake

Post by Basspro »

Heading up to White lake and Calabogie Lake Friday Night. Are the
black flies still bad and waiting for me or have they eased up yet? Anyone
fishing there recently?

I was at black donald on the weekend and they aren't terrible but they're still around. Might be worse if you're fishing from shore.

I've been on White Lake several times this year and the bugs are not bad at all.
A few mosquitoes at the launch around dusk, but nothing too bad.
I'll never apologize for being a hunter (or a fisherman)!

Thanks all! You were right as the bugs weren't really bad. Phew!

Thanks for the inflatable life jacket warning!
