Constance Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Constance Lake

Is it safe to dive on Constance Lake yet? Thinking of heading out this weekend. Too old to walk far and lug gear (LOL)!

There was 5" of black ice on Dec 19 according to their facebook page. It's always the first safe ice around so I don't see there being an issue but your best bet is to phone the lodge.

Buddy was there last week, says lots of ice and people driving on. Go mid week, too busy on weekends.

We normally only go during the week too. The ice has been thick enough for quite a while. We normally catch a good amount of perch and a few pike, but haven't caught any other species yet. Try the weed beds of the lake; there are several.

Thanks for the replies. It is my favorite lake to fish in the winter and weedlines are my favorite areas to go to. Love to drop down my color underwater camera and watch all the activity.
