After getting soaked through on Monday and calling it quits early, I think it's time to invest in a good set of rain gear, jacket and bib.
Right now I'm leaning towards the Simms Challenger Jacket and Bib.

Is anyone else using this rain gear? Or any other suggestions that are around the same price?
Thanks!

Re: Looking for rain gear suggestions.
I have the Simms ProDry jacket and bibs for 3 years now. After a lot of heavy use they still look new...they're bullet-proof. Will keep me absolutely bone-dry whipping down the lake at 50mph in the middle of a torrential down pour. They're surprisingly light-weight, and pack down quite small. Lots of innovative features made just for anglers. Most importantly, it's the most breathable rain suit I've ever owned. A garbage bag can keep the rain off, but's being comfortable and not feeling like you're in a sauna … that makes the difference between good and great.
The Challenger is at a lower price point than the ProDry. The biggest difference is the fabric....the ProDry uses genuine 3-layer GORE-TEX, the Challenger 2-layer Toray (a knock-off). I understand the Challenger is somewhat less breathable, but very similar in construction and features.
The ProDry suit is one of the best investments I've ever made. Yes, it's pricey...but considering all the other money I spend to go fishing...it's a bargain to be dry and comfortable when the weather turns. It's so breathable, I'll even wear it on a sunny day as a wind-breaker.

Thanks Corvus! The Prodry looks amazing, though way out of my price range haha.
Hope everyone faired well in the storm and got off the water in time if you were out!
