Hit the road Sunday morning with my buddy Matt for the annual Halloween River Monster hunt heading east to La belle province... met up with Mark from Advanced Bassin' Plus and headed out on the water.
We arrive at our first spot and immediately mark a bunch of big fish on bottom and several sturgeon jumping around the boat.... sweet!!
We drop down our baits and hope for a quick bite but the fish continue on their way.... after a short while we get a bite and fish on!!! And we get our first sturgeon of the day.... just a little guy, but the skunk is off!!
We continue throughout the day moving around looking for fish, watching lots of fish jumping all over the place, having many fish brushing up against our lines and gobies happily munching on our baits.
In the end we weeded through some smaller fish but ended up boating a few nice sized sturgeon to make for a successful day on the water.
