Long Lake

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Long Lake

Post by U.L. »

Gid'ay ladies and gentlemen. I have been waiting in the weeds for about a year checking out all the bait swimming by and have decided to jump in and take it Hook, Line and Sinker. My favorite prey is bass. My favorite tackle is ultralight(hence UL) and my lure of choice is the Hula Popper. Nothing like top water. My Ride is a Lund Rebel 1440 SS with a 40. My son is my fishing partner.

I was wondering where Long Lake is and how you get to the ramp. This looks like a good spot to try this weekend. Thanks and take care.

Thanks for the welcome. I am not sure. They were just mentioning it in one of the other threads, around Perth I believe and one lad said it was a great ramp. So I thought I would set my GPS in the right direction and give it a shot this weekend.

i think he was just being sarcastic. the ramp i went down is basically a small steep dirt hill that leads down to the lake. more like a canoe launch. it would be too small to get a real boat in. I think everywhere else around the lake is private property.

Thanks ricoboxing, I think I fall into the real boat catagory. As for Big-O, if the lake has got fish in it I am willing.

Darling Long Lake has been stocked with Brown trout for the last 10 years or so but they are hard to catch this time of year. Actually hard to catch any time. I've been about 6x without luck. But I've seen some big ones come out on lures and bait. 4x4 access for the last 200 ft. Inbox me for instructions on how to get there. Lots of bass and perch there as well. I would try deep. ICE FISHERMEN STAY AWAY!!!! THAT GOES FOR ANY LAKE WITH TROUT! Better yet drill a hole and fall in. Out west where I am from, it is banned and it should be here too.
