A Couple of Big Bass...Pics

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

A Couple of Big Bass...Pics

Post by JustinHoffman »

Hello All,
Spent the last two days at a cottage on Bass Lake with the girlfriend. Between the two of us, we got about 40 or so bass, plus a half dozen northerns..The smallies were hitting tubes and Senkos well, and were scattered between 5 and 20 feet deep. Managed to get two really nice largies, the first on a tube jig in 12 feet of water over rock. She weighed in at an ounce under 4lbs. Later on in the afternoon, within 50 yards of this fish, I hooked into another great bass. This fish was sitting up on some boulders and wood in 5 feet of water, and smacked a flipping jig the minute it entered the water. She weighed in at 4lbs. 14 oz, although looking at the girth, I was sure she was well over 5. All fish were released alive to fight another day..
Campfire and beers during the evening and lots of bass during the day - doesn't get much better than that!
Good Fishing,
Justin

LOL!!! At least Toronto fans don't have to put on their toques so early in the spring, much like the Senator fans have to do every year! lol
The golf courses must get pretty crowded here in the Ottawa region
Good Fishing and Go Leafs Go!!
