How did you find Fish-Hawk?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Finding Fish-Hawk.net

Post by Seaweed »

I found the site by casting out a couple of search lures on Google.

Got a good solid hookset and I have been reeling it in ever since.

Had to join FH, MT was keeping me in stitches and at the time wolfe was the nicest "GUY" I had ever read. :D
Moosbunk, if I can make just one person's day a little brighter ...

When I found FH, I was actually the worse kind of lurker. I bumped into this site looking for muskie, and followed the adventures of the boys. I would check there pictures looking for any landmarks to track down some of the big girls. (Turns out there are no musky in the Rideau anyway).

Can't remember what actually led to my first post. Maybe it was the lack of eye candy, I knew this site needed more attraction than just fishing.

Ken, we are of like mind I see. :D

Markus got ahold of me on our local board. He said there was a new Great Lakes forum here. I must thank Big-0 to,if it wasn't for him pointing out how unsafe my boat is with only 1 D.Rigger I probably wouldn't be here now!

I got mauled by Bobber at the Boat show. At first I thought he was trying to sell me something. I listened to what he had to say and I later checked out the site. I loved that most of the chit chat was from local waters. I loved the site and I visit almost daily. I love where the site is today!

I found out about Fish-hawk by word of mouth.
I was icefishing one day and met Big O and Topwater, they clued me into Fish-hawk.
At first I lurked, then I posted then I lurked some more, now I'm posting again.
Probable would post more if I had a PC at home, now can only post when the boss is not looking :)

Bobber tackled me at the Carp 2003 show. I think he was aiming for Crazycrawler and missed.

Was looking for maps and found FH. Cruised for about a year, bought a Classic Lid (which I wear daily) at the Ottawa Sportsman Show and then registered a little while later. Never regretted it. A great bunch of people and information galore.

I was looking for information on fishing Wilmont Creek, as a branch of it goes through the family farm, and what do I find... Mike dookin it out with a rooster, (http://www.fish-hawk.net/hawkshow/wilmot/wilmot.htm) I read through the rest of the Shows, signed up and attended the "Return to Pinecrest" and have been hooked ever since.

This is my HOME!

:D I was searching for muskie locations in order to catch my first. Fish Hawk let me know where I should launch and how to fish for them. So I told him when I was heading down..some where around November 13th 2002. I left Cambridge at 1:00 am with my 5 year old son Jonathan in tow. Arrived at day break and fished the morning with no Muskie , but saw a few good rolls. Around noon along comes Fish Hawk in his boat to guide us to the areas where fish had been biting. I didnt have an electric trolling motor so he lashed our two boats together and controlled the drift of both boats. The result was my first muskie. I have supported the site ever since. My first impression was great one..the site hasnt disappointed me. :D
