Name the Mink

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Name the Mink

Post by Canadian Bacon »

The petrie Island Mink is no doubt gonna be showing up again and again...this little guy...oh..or gal is very bold and will come within 3 or 4 feet of you..maybe closer....any way....Topwater had the first run in with this little guy on Sunday and we met up with him her or it today....

I think that Mink needs a name....any suggestions?
Maybe someof the younger Hawk-Talkers have some names they like..

How about "Muskie the Mink"

Because mink are in the muskrat family and muskie would be short for muskrat and we all talk about muskie being the trophy fish blah blah blah blah.

"Muskie the Mink"
is a real stink
he'll steal your catch
with one quick snatch
so keep your eyes open
when your rod tip goes down
'cuase here comes that mink
to act like a clown
to take your fish
and make you wish
you hadn't got lucky
and caught that big muskie

Don't know if you guys know about the kid's show called "Dora the Explorer", but there is a "sneaky fox who is always trying to swipe everything" on it...and his name is simply "SWIPER". Sounds appropriate. 8)

Hope someone gets a picture to post. Minks are clever little things, for sure.

P.S.

3-1/2 yr old Shane says his name should be "Buck". I asked him why and he said "because I want to". HA! Typical!
