Its just that the guy keeps bragging everytime he goes out in the summer 20+bags of bass, in the winter monster pike etc.....that bay in question won't be like that forever if you keep telling everybody, What happened to many bays might happen to that bay, especially if people keep the big genitors, i have nothing againts people keeping fish....i keep walleye for the table but i choose my sizes, what you do is totally legal.....its just that mentionning the bays name you have no idea how quick it can get pressured and overfished....poachers etc....if its your honeyhole why not keep it to yourself.

The pikes came home because a guy a work with ask me to keep a few for him.
As for the basses I won't repeat myself on the subject.
...this bay as been under pressure since the mid 80's with ice tournaments every week and 100's of fishermans and it is still kicking.
...and with everything I have said and all the pictures posted most of
you will probably never come to the Bay because It's not easy to get in from the river and It's a pain to travel all the way around on the Quebec side.
One last thing....I don't brag I share information and some should take it in a positive way

According to my Guide to Eating Ontario Sport Fish, pike over 30" in parts of the Ottawa have that nice black fish symbol beside it- meaning they should not be eaten at all.
If a 30 incher has too many contaminants in it to be safe, eating a 40 incher might have some REALLY nasty consequences!

Although always a hotbed of controversy, I am still encouraged to see people out there (Benleger in this case) concerned over releasing the big ones. It's still my motto, but I recognize that those who do keep them are within their rights. It may be satisfying to have a big fish fillet, but trust me when I say it's very satisfying to watch the big ones swim away. (That being said, it is obvious BB444 can catch fish. Smile, though? 
)

I might have overreacted....but its just my point of view,their good genitors and don't taste as good, from the river i've heard how to get there but don't meet another boat....right! I was also saying that because of the Bass Tourneys.....don't share too much info because someone will figure out the pattern and it will get pounded and all your bass will end up in Montebello or Rockland and LM are not known for travelling, Those are nice Pike indeed and obviously you know how to fish, i just think smaller fish should be kept for the table....that coworker could've waited 'til you catch some smaller ones.....OH! True you only catch Trophies.

I think it's his delivery that twists people a bit....myself included...
If it's information that is attempted to be shared by BBB444 I fin it odd that all we know about these fish are that they were caught on a tip up....
Other than fish in McLaurin bay what infomation has been provided?...very little...so in turn people will see it as bragging...and who can blame them?
Beautiful fish for sure.....the first one had two places to go in my mind.....back in the water...or on the wall....
