Great support

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Great support

Post by Canadian Bacon »

I love the show of support on this sight..you people rock.
Ok so all the well wishes from the people for my weight loss post surgery are incredible! I just love it....sniffle....makes me see the good in life and in people...
Then Jaz comes on and says I am goin in a 5k with him....I need something like that and he knew it somehow. Gives me a goal and something to work towards that is not something crazy like a triathalon..(sorry Jaz) but it just seems he knew I needed something like that. Then last night I was talkin to Snag and I say yeah it looks like I will be doin that 5k run...so she asks to do it too. I think just as a show of support for me, now hopefully I have a running partner (as Jaz will be way ahead after the first meter!). WOW, The great support from the people here overwhlems me. You know I didn't know these guys this time last year..actually I had just met Jaz..and they have along with many others become such great friends! It seems the more people we add to the sight the better it gets, people just seem to notice the manner in which we conduct ourselves and they follow suit! I never make New Years resolutions but I kinda have promised myself that I want to show support for people the way people have for me. Pass it on or Pay it forward if you will (huh, that just came to me but it is the premis for my post). I have always said to my parents and especially my grand parents that I may not ever be able to do for you what you have done for me in life but I will do my best to return it to others. thanks guys!!! I know I will get the stop being so sappy comments and I know who from.. ..but I am going through a life change..a hugh life change and yeah I am a bit Sappy about it.. :D

Bacon, I try to run 5Km every other day and nothing would make me happier then being able to run it with you. If it's posible, I'd love to join the run. Anytime with you is a treat and seeing you accomplish this would be so wonderful.

I second Pink Lady's response Bacon, tell me where and when so I can book it off from work, and I will run right there beside you!

PL, Misses Livewell was just telling me she can't wait for your next visit so you two can do a run together.
I believe she envisioned a mall somewhere together however.

I wanna see Bacon run his first 5K, just for the giggles. :P

I'll follow you in the tractor towing a trailer. Just in case (when) you have your heart attack, I'll be able to drag you home.
I got your back Bacon ... supportive or what :?: :!: :D

Sorry Bacon bu thte best I can do is follow you in the car for 5 k as I will have kealed over after the 100 m.

As for me getting is shape for a 5 k run would take too much time away from fishing, watching fishing etc.

Good luck buddy, you are an inspiration indeed.

Believe me when I say you do not want me to 'run' with you on this outting.

Picture if you will this ugly sight.
A man in his mid-thirties, too old before his time, on bended knees, crying like a baby, coughing up lung butter, gazing up at the sky begging on deaf ears for someone to do the mercy kill.
And that's after the first half mile.

I firmly believe that all hearts came from the manufacturer with a finite number of beats. Why waste 'em jogging. 8)
