Petrie Animals

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Petrie Animals

Post by Fishfinda B »

Hi.

I'm just curious what animals any of you's have seen around the bays at petrie.

I only visit about 4/5 times per year, and tonight was my first time in walleye bay and my friend and I witnessed a fox (or something similar) pounce on a rabbit only about 4 feet from where we were standing in the darkness. Well it might have been a coyote or fisher, heck I don't know but it was very neat and certainly made the night great despite catching nada.

Yeah, Bacon, about that mink...what did you settle on? I think it was between:

Swiper, Buster & Bandit

Also, guys, wasn't there a fox spotted a few times, but no picture taken?

And where were those owls seen (the Great Greys we were talking about yesterday)? Was that Petrie, too?

Bad memory for me...! :?

And chances are if there were a fisher in the area, it'd eat everything else :!: ... If you've never seen one, they look like a mini Grizzly Bear :!: :shock:And are incredibly feroscious :!: Did I spell that right :?: Image

Fishers are cool -- and smart. They're a good deal bigger than mink, so I don't think there would be any confusion there! :D
