TV Show: Urban Outdoor Adventures

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

What he said. If the show is as good as it's premise than I'm sure it'll be success.

Urban Outdoor Adventures

Post by Duker »

I to have been watching the show. At first I thought it was a camping show or something due to the title and got watching it and really got into it. I think its good to see a show entirely based on how Big Fish are only an arms length away from urban centers and that you don't have to fly for 12 hours to get trophies. Now I only seen 3 episodes but it looks like it will be a dependable, informative show for a while. You can learn a lot.

Yes RJ,

if you read a couple posts back in this thread, you'll see he's the "Producer" and "Post Supervisor" to the show!

Looks like a pretty interesting show but ... Am I the only one who is bored stiff by TV shows about downrigger trolling in Lake Ontario? Maybe it's fun to do, but it sure isn't fun to watch.

Watched yesterday and today, salmon and then carp....

Enjoyed both. Good job. Better than most for sure. I'm not a downrigger guy myself simply because I've never used one or had the opp to fish that way but I gotta say, the show was quite informative for me and I liked that. The host really nailed some info into my head.

The carp show was great too, and I was quite happy with the rigs he pointed out that could be used with just ordinary gear. I thought, I'm maybe going to have to give that a try this fall at a spot I know on the Tay River.

Truth be told, it was my second favorite fishing program I watched all weekend. It would have been first but Bob had his niece Mariko out for a fish with him, and I've gotta tell yas I'm quite smitten with that young girl. Don't tell Wayne though, he might sabotage my chances of winning that fishing contest with the pros at some lodge somewheres.

Sprtfishing on the Fly is still a great program as well.

Schteevie, I'm gonna have to ask that you reframe from promoting your show in any further posts.

Take a minute to review our rules for using Fish-Hawk.Net.

http://www.fish-hawk.net/phpBB-2.0.2/ph ... php?t=2548

Your input is informative and fun,but it's also self promoting for personale gain.

If you'reintrested in advertising on FH.Net, please take the timeto contact Bobber and he'll be happy to help you with that.

Thanks
Markus

Markus,

I didn't start this thread, and as I said above, I only discovered it by seeing on our web tracking software that there was traffic coming to our site from fish-hawk.

I was happy to see discussion about our show being initiated on its own.

I was simply answering questions from your senior members.
My posts were responces to questions and I never put up a link or even mentioned the title which I assumed was against the rules, and after reading them, I see that it is.

I see your point about this, but it's a pretty fine line you are walking here. There is geniun interest from your members.
This thread had a good life of it's own and I wasn't abusivly "bumping" it.

Anyway - no worrys - your board, your rules
- I don't intend to stir things up or cause a ruckus.

Thanks to everyone for your interesst in our show!

Hi Schteevie,

Bobber and I would like to take this opportunity to invite you and the host of your show to enjoy some of the exceptional urban fishing opportunities that can be found in our neck of the woods (Ottawa and surroundings). They are hard to beat and I know your audience would love the episode - I know the Fish-Hawk.Net audience would. How about it?

And you can believe me, that when it comes to that particular episode, we will make sure that everyone in Fish-Hawk land knows when and where the show will be airing.

What do ya think?

Ask bacon how hard i work to catch carp.. i think after 30 mins i was ready for a break but the fish never gave us one.. they just kept biting...

The good thing is carp fishing like any type of fishing can be as simple or complicated as you want to make it... Hopefully i'll be able to get a lot of people out this year and let them witness how fun fishing for this species can be. Hey and perhaps get a few points for the derby too.

Schteevie, you should seriously consider fishing in the ottawa area in one of your episodes... we're lucky enough to live within minutes of wold class rivers and lakes.

Man..Poor John...
Where we were fishin it was very steep...I had two things against me...no depth perception and too much girth! :?
I would have fallen on the way down and never got back up!
"I have fallen and I can't get up"
John, went up and down that embankment for evey fish!! A work horse I tell you!! I owe him, this year if I am so fortunate to go with John...I may fall on the way down but getting back up shouldn't be a problem..LOL

Thanks for the invite "FishHawk".

We are very interested in going to other Urban centers next season, and Ottawa is definitely high on our list. We'll try and set something up for next season!

For now, we are trying to get through post production on Season One (several episodes are still not finished with final editing and post effects, and they are due to the network VERY soon!)
