I have a gripe I want to air....seriously!!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

WIG:
I do sympathize with you... I made the foolish choice of going to "Wallymart" today -- a Saturday, mid-morning, with a bazillion other people. It is a hair-raising, blood curdling experience. Plus I had my boys in tow, or rather in the cart, out of the cart, running down the aisles...well, you get the picture. Hypertension inducer!

WEEDER:
if my husband came home with a little something for me, I'd hope it wasn't a thong! :? (The hubby calls 'em "Butt Floss", and as vulgar as that sounds, it isn't too far off the truth.)

Thanks, Dad, for taking me fishing when I was a kid.

I sort of agree with you. But I also agree with FH. It is a great little spot to hide until the missus finds you. However, I think a good business plan would include putting lingerie, etc. in the front of good tackle shops like Baitcasters and Paddletales (alphabetical order only, no preference implied). This is because you would have to go through the thong section to get to your gear, and I can bet you would do one of two things:

1. Become full of testosterone and be ready for a day of great fishing, or
2. Stop and buy something for the missus, which might make her happy and give you a chance to earn some "points" while you go off fishing.

..its all about the points.. its like Canadian Tire money... the more you get the better off you are!
Don't know if that's a good idea :?
I'd hate to see a novice...thinking these were the latest lures...being caught on the lake by the MNR.... casting a thong
Too late I have caught some men's underwear, a thong and a fly swatter among other interesting things    while fishing. Come to think of it that would make and intersting subject. What have you caught while fishing for fish?? other than Fish....????1111

Gorfster, were you casting in Housewares & the Men's Dept. again!? We've been over this a thousand times...!

I've never caught anything that unusual, just balls of fishing line and plenty of logs and sticks. I know at least one person has caught a lawnchair on this site. Maybe it was WIG...I can't remember...!

:) Rising on a point of information.

How on Gods green earth do you hide in a fishing department? I mean, the only place in a store that puts 6 - 10 foot rods vertically like flag posts on the top shelf.

We all know what led to the downfall of Canadian society... it occurred when they put a housewares section in the Canadian Tire store.

Nuff Said.
