Directions to Queenston Ramp

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Directions to Queenston Ramp

Post by steve-hamilton »

Gonna try my luck tomorrow, launching from Queenston. We'll see how things go...

Anyone have directions from the QEW?

Thanks in advance,

Steve

(any tips for this Niagara River Beginner would be greatly appreciated)

 I will give it a shot..QEW to just past St Kits where the highway splits. Keep left and follow ? cant remember # till you see the sign..last exit before Bridge to U.S. . Then I believe its a left, left acroos the highway and right on the other side..follow the road parallel to highway till you get to round abut by Brocks monument. Follow it to the left and go down the hill. take first right at bottom of hill..then a left and you will find a driveway to the right that heads down.. should get you close.

I take the QEW to the split to the USA, go left as if your going to the US then take the first off ramp you come to, Over the bridge , turn right follow that in past the niagara park station , down the hill, I cant recall the name of the road , but I think its the second rd on the right follow it down to the launch, youll see a sign when your on that rd. Your actually going down the residential streets of the town of Queenston. Someone else may know the street name. But its easy to find.

Go luck, the drift right out front of the launch was producing when we were down there , thatw as two weeks ago though.Looks like great weather. Pink Exude worm or the Storm twited tail minnow in natural silver/black was working.I hop to get down next weekend , heading to Ajax tommow to pick up a motor for the tin boat.

the turn off from the QEW is the 405 and the exit you take is Stanley ST. (AVE). turn left on stanley cross the 405 and turn right. you will come to a round-a-bout and head straight through it and then daon the hill and turn right on Dumfies and then straight all the way to the launch. i'll be there around 7 or 8am. if you need a hand launching i'll gladly help ya out. i'll be wearing a black ball cap with "FEDS" on it. good luck
