I have a few lures that I kept from my grandfather's tackle box.
Here is the first:
Here is the second:
I vaguely remember taking these lures out of brown carboard boxes approximately 30 years ago. They are carved wood and have hardware similar to heddon lures but no markings.

Thanks Snag.... Thanks Marcus.... I will need to setup site to host the pics then. I did not know if you used the fish-hawk gallery but looking through galleries it seems that is not the case. I will attempt to delete the pics.
Thanks to Snag/Marcus I have one more to post. This lure is about 30 years old too. I pretty sure it is a repel. Alewife shape and it has caught numerous lake trout when I was a kid and 30 years later my sons caught a nice 8lb on charleston with it....
Big O,
Do you have one of these in your collection? If so, willing to sell it... LOL...
Was not familiar with the thin fins. Searching the internet they are made by storm, right? I am pretty sure it is made by rebel. Obviously it is not a model they make anymore. Going to put new trebles and try and use it again on this year's trip.

You can use our gallery. Just post your Miscellaneous pics in the Miscellaneous gallery. I've also enabled Personal Galleries tonight so we'll give that a try too.
Yep, that is a Rebel; Thinfin or Thinfish. I have one at home with the original packaing. I will get the information from home.
The first pic posted looks like a Mr.Pike by Creek Chub? Perhaps I have some of those names mixed. I believe they now make a plastic version of this now.
Those lures look really interesting - I think they might be homemade....but I am not sure.
They definately are carved wood. I have several old heddon lures like the creek chub and those are clearly marked. Heddon lures are ususally smooth finish and these have channels running lenghtwise where they were carved. They also have diamond like eyes. Do not recall heddon having something like that. The hardware on them is very heddon like. I am assuming they are between 30 and 50 years old. What puzzles me is I vaguely remember them being packaged in a plain cardboard box when I took them out of my grand fathers tackle box nearly 30 years ago. Guess if I did not throw out the box I might have a better idea what they were not to mention a higher value. They may be homemade since I have not seen anything like them in my research. My grandfather was a big fly tyer but I never seen him make lures.
The one with the creek chub lip has been fished once and caught one bass. The other has not touched the water.

Thanks Bobber... I figured I finally post some pics here. I know they are not of fish, but trying to identify these lures was bothering me.
I sent the pics to a friend who collects old lures and here is the response...
Your lures are Paw Paw Bonehead series lures. The first one is a "swamp" minnow, series No. 12-A and the second one is a "wigglin minnie" series No. 12-G
He did not know the price or anything like that...I hope that helps
