Beat a personnal record today

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Beat a personnal record today

Post by baz fish »

Well guys this morning I went to fish for cats on the Nation near Crysler and I broke my personnal record for the most cat fish I managed to get 60 in 2 hours thats right 60 the action was just non stop.

Went again after supper and I stay till around 10 and I managed to caught around 50 cats again what an awsome day today for cat. Like I said the cats are in full swing now on the Nation near Crysler.

Tomorrow Im heading for perch and crappy if they are not biting all go for cats again.

:) Excellent work...

Maybe Bullheads should count in the derby. They're as good as, if not better than any Sunfish, Rock Bass, Brook Trout that I know of... except the big Brookies of course.

What was the biggest one?

Congrats Baz Fish. Went for a drive to Embrun today and the guys were all over the place fishing for cats, Little Castor and the Nation around St. Albert. Were you one of the guys fishing east of Benoit's? They (cats) were biting all around Crysler Marina (Morrisburgh) all morning. Got approx 30-35 in three hours. Got there around 7:30. Good luck. BTW, have you guys ever heard of "the second corner" in Crysler? My dad grew up there and told me that that spot was the best place for cats. He just doesn't give very good directions! -JR

Legend- bullheads DO count in the derby! :D

Check the Derby page and you'll see where I asked about them.

steve- a 6 pounder! The record is only 2.37 pounds. You blew that away.

Bullheads

Post by Legend »

:) Thanks for the heads-up CCB, I missed that thread in the derby species... Maybe our Derby guys can update the graphic species list to include Bullheads.

Too bad they aren't a separate species... That'd be an easy 500 points! :D
