Transfer of Boat Ownership. HELP!

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Actually I paid the PST on the package based upon the bill of sale.

I paid it when I got the plates and got two receipts showing that I have paid the taxes to present at customs. This was very convenient.

Steve G

Does this mean you won't be joining us for the May 28th pike hunt in our canoes?

I've got my new ride too but I still will use my canoe once in a while, she was my first and we never forget our first right?

What was I taking about?

   Mr. J, the canoe will still get lots of attention.

Our family does a fair bit of interior camping and I do not see that changing any time soon. May even need a second canoe with the boys getting so much bigger.

And I hope to still make the return trip to Ottawa at the end of May for the Pike hunt.

That's a beauty boat Steve.... :!:

Got this advice from another board when I bought mine last spring....

Just paid the transfer fee for the new trailer plate, told them I bought the trailer at a yard sale, ....registered the boat in KItchener in October, (this is the third boat I've owned and the first that actually came with an ownership), ....they just photo copied the "receipt" and done. I'll supposedly get mail from the gov't inquiring about the taxs, ....at which time I'll have to cough it up, ....but it's been rumored that a few manage to slip through the cracks...

I figure I can use the money a whole lot better than the Gov't....., for the time being
