The reason I had asked was pretty simple really.
I often look back for a thread I had read before and now that I have a boat I wll be looking back for not only a good fishing thread but a boating thread as well.
Just thought it might be easier for everyone to find things.
Glad to see we still live in a democratic society eh!
Do we need a seperate forum for boating?

I think we need a boating forum. Because of the diversity of the boats from the people arond this site we could all learn a thing or two.
This site is not BassBoatCentral so for the guy (or girl) with a 12 ft aluminum boat can learn some tricks about boat setttings and so can the 21 ft bassboat.
What will fuel this boating forum (as well as the other forums) is the sense of community of Fish-Hawkers.

Funnt how thngs can turn out sometimes, just a matter of timing I guess but I read thru this thread and then read thru the other thread in the non fishing section and there are many who said NO here but 6 months later are saying YES in the other thread.
Maybe it has to do with who brought up the subject
I still think a boating section would be of great value (includes canoes too

Boat Forum Debate
I really think that a big part of fishing involves boating and along with boat problems and inovations people put into their boats allows everyone who is interested to discuss how to help people improve their fishing or boating skills for everyone's enjoyment. Is it really necassary to put it in another forum? If the post looks to be of interest to the individual they will read it and they will add to the discussion, just like any other post. I for one read many post in fish talk that is very interesting to read but I don't feel I have to comment on it one way or the other. It is just a good read. Plus if some one has a solution to a problem all the more better to help out. Isn't this one of the main reasons for this web site and not to get bogged down on where a post should be posted?
