We thread on a few corn kernals and after baiting the area with a few handfulls of corn, we cast out. Pink Lady was first to get a hit and after a solid hook set she was into our first carp of the afternoon.
Next up was Hailee. She saw her rod thump and was surprised by the pull she recieved when she started reeling.

Spencer was eager to land a fish and she didn't have to wait long. She had one on minutes after Hailee's was released. This was Spencers first fish for 2005, so she was determined to land it.

While getting the hook out of Spencers carp, another rod buckles and PL is into her 2nd fish and landed it after a tussel with the near by lighthouse.
We fished for 2 hours and went 7 for 12. The fish were all small today and seemed to be clones of one another...all 22-23 inches in length. No big ones today. All released to grow a little bigger for next time.
One of the local residents soon learned we were using corn and stopped by regularly and rudely hissed for a little hand out.

The girls all took turns breaking the odd one off. Their gonna need this practice to sharpen their rod skills before rainbow season!
