Urban fishing?
What is your favorite urban angling spot? I like near champlain bridge for smallies and walleye. Theeres not to many brown trout but theres still alot of fish.

I never found a place I'd try around Champlain bridge... on the islands, the water seems a bit shallow.
Otherwise, I tried a few places along the Ottawa river on the Hull side. There are many trails reaching the river. For now, the water level seems a bit too high... I'm guessing water is too cold to since the water is moving quite fast around here. I only caught panfishes there... but that's mostly what we are fishing for. My GF got a nice pike last year though.

currently ... area below Billing bridge produces decent size of smallmouth, pickerel and occasionally pike.
If you access river from the south side (there is sun building right beside Harvey's that you can park) you'll notice small creek that runs into Rideau..Access river on that location and you'll notice it's good for wading .I might even meet you there ..usually I go there when fly fishing
For eyes you'll need to cast into the main stream (canal) of river.
