Do you ever STOP fishing?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Now this question depends on who you ask...Me I would say never stop but the wife would say to stop now...The question I got this weekend from the wife after cleaning the house was this. So why do you need three rods( now she did not know about all the ice rods etc hidden in the basement). My response...same reason you need five pairs of shoes cause you never know where you will be going and what you will need to wear...Well lets just say I ate dinner alone that night. So no I will never stop fishing and I like the idea of using me for bait...I hope I would catch a nice sized musky  ..Now is that dying happy or what??

Except for a time or two over the winter, we tend to stop fishing in late October, when the cold settles in.

If I had Gord and Slushy's digs, I might be inclined to ice fish more. That's the way to go, for sure, and they were nice enough to give the "Wolfe Pack" a taste of what ice fishing in comfort can be like.

As for the being dead part...I cannot fathom a Heaven without boats, lakes and fish. In my mind's eye, I actually picture Heaven as a big lake in the middle of natural paradise! (I'd like to think we use barbless hooks there, and still catch fish. 8) )

I usually fish until the ice comes in but this year that'll change because I want to try some ice fishing.

Stop fishing

Post by Esox_Lucius »

When I die I'm going to be cremated, and have my ashes dumped in the Ottawa river.
So I guess no matter what, I'll still be fishing in one form or another.

October, November & December is hunting time...I will fish the odd time, but generally I'll trade in the rod for a rifle, bow or shotgun this time of year. January I'm back fishing.
