Todd- either the smallest lm's I've caught to date or the biggest mouthed sm'
s
The wader issue was kind of disappointing- they are in their 4th season and should have remained trouble-free for a while, but it's all fixed up and I'm good to go!
Glad to hear that you had some continued success- that one pool on the West side after the 2nd rapids was where both Walleye were and some nice sm/lm's as well. Same area I caught a "rock" that turned out to be a nice lunker, the last time I was out with Tim.
I hate to admit this: caught both Walleye on a #6 bead-head WB, black marabou tail and chenille with #2 red hackle... I've just never, ever had a strike with the WB's. Guess I can't say that anymore
The TFO Signature 5wt was quite nice today- was shooting about 14' of leader/tippet to get down to the Walleye: not easy to do as I found out!!!
On holidays all of next week- planning on doing some prospecting around my in-law's cottage in the Calobogie/Black Donald Lake area...any recommendations?
Cheers,
Jean
