Hit a snow pile left from an ice fishing hole on a sled doing 30-40 km/hr, wakes you up but no biggie as I have done it many times.
Hit a snow pile left from an ice fishing hole on a sled doing 100-120 km/hr, and it's called culling the heard or natural selection.
If you simply stay on the trails and don't zip around and zig-zag through areas of a lake that are unknown you won't be surprised or even find those hidden gems (i.e.: pressure heaves/cracks).
Please leave the ice/snow either piled around or next to the hole and in the spring those will be the markers we all need to stay away from. As for actual marked trails, it is wise not to drill right on top of them, why would you anyway, it sure wouldn't be too relaxing with the up and coming Darwin award winners zipping by you at 120 km/hr.
Okay that was 3 cents but who's counting
Happy New Year, Fishing and Snowmobiling everyone!!!
