Cajun Line

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

Cajun Line

Post by I-make-stink-bait »

Hey Folks,

anyone ever heard or used Cajun Line before?

http://www.cajunline.com/

I'm skeptical of its results, but interested to see what the rest of you think.

Yes I do.

I use it to make leaders for slow death hooks. They worked really, really well last year. The red goes near invisible in water and it was a great choice to use when bottom bouncing I found. The flouro is tougher than mono so less likely to break from bottom abbrasions.

FYI the Special Offer is a 1/2 decent backup spinning reel for only $8 shipping/handling, and IS available in Canada. Now that I know it's available at Pathfinder Maps, I might get some just to get the spare reel. :) And to think I was JUST driving by there earlier today. Will have to stop in next week when I'm in the area.

Anyone try their braid? Does the red dye/ink get all over your thumb (baitcaser reel)?

I have tried it and found it has very bad knot strength and is not very abrasive resistant.

Just my 2 cents.

It's really popular in California and works well there. I have used it a few times here and it was ok. I agree with the comment that the knot strength is not the greatest. But then again I like using really light test. Big fan of Yo-Zuri Hybrid line.
