Ice Thickness on Bay of Quinte?

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I was refering to Tip-up and Wallyboss...
Both of them are 100% Correct.

That might be RJ ...

But when I go to a hockey game I'd rather have the '' Refs '' on the ice call the game and not the ones in the stands....

I'll wait.

I concur Maple. I am going to wait untill Feb, untill I hit Quinte again. Those fish are not going anywhere.

Plus, in the meantime. I am going to hit up some local smaller lakes, and fill my freezer with tasty panfish. They are easy and fun to catch, fishing to me, is not always about chasing that elusive PB!

Hay Bay Ice

Post by Superdad »

The ice on Hay Bay from the SHermans Launch ramp to the south side is aprrox 9 - 10 inches with lots of water as a skim on the dark ice.

LOTS of frozen shad in the ice....

We were out on Monday, and drilled 15 holes thru very solid ice.

Hope that Helps

Thanks for the information everyone. Looking forward to my first trip to the BoQ this weekend, I'll post results when (if) I get back haha. Don't worry, we're going with a (hopefully experienced) guide.
