Different story this time. Water was back to normal levels, and the current was much slower (though still moving). The water temp was obviously quite cold (didn't get a reading, I don't normally bring my fish finder).
They were very lethargic. Usually you would SEE the strike and react with a hook-set, but they were almost just closing their mouth on the hook and slowly swimming away. You couldn't tell between a snag and fish.
No sign of the monster today... they were all in the 4-6 lb range.




I managed to rest my thumb comfortably in this gals mouth. I had to pry the mouth open with my plier handles, push my finger back into her mouth and then out. Had she done a head shake, I'd probably have less of my thumb today.
