Fishin Week-end on the Bay of Quinte Oct 15,16 & 17

This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I'd also suggest some Rebel Fast Tracks should be in your box, yet another proven successful lure. Also, as has been previously mentioned, try Hay Bay Larry's Uzick Spinner's....Or your own worm harness/spinner combos.

Be prepared to try a lot of different things!

Looking forward to this one!

Big-o... you mentionned lead core line. How deep are the walleye? I have leadcore and steel line that I use for lakers. Would I just run them the same as lakers , down 50 feet or so?

I was wondering what type of spoons you have success with............little cleos, cyclops, or salmon type spoons? I've got downriggers so getting them down is not a problem.
Thanks in advance.........Hoss
Most have come off of NK28s Chart/Green with glow tape. Also a tight zig zag troll causes the spoons to fall/fluter and most hits come on the fall.

Also Salmon, Lakers, Browns and Rainbows are in the North Channel near the village of Bath....so you never know what you are going to catch :D

I like to troll fast 2-3.5 mph so I can cover lots of water, so I choose to use spoons over spinner rigs for the walleye. I also always fish east of Glenora Ferry so I have 2 rods per angler in the water.

If you are slow trolling structure and weedlines in the Bay of Quinte the spinner rigs work great. The Uzick Spinner's are tested and produce fish.

Ah...walleye fishing, get ready to try everything in the tackle box -- Fast -- Slow -- Big -- Small -- Live Bait -- Cranks. They all work but when?

Lets' go get em...

Thanks for the info eyetracker, markus, WIG..... I'll likely just bring everthing I've got then hopefully be prepared to find big wally. The info on this board is awesome and I'm looking forward to the regulars that fish this body of water showing me the ropes.

TM, I play poker and I'm bringing cooking equipment! Portable gas stove, pans...everything we'll need for a fish fry! If anyone has a turkey fryer they can brung...toss it in the trunk. They're great for frying up loads of fish.
