This is where it's all going on. One can ask for advice or general information or simply chew the fat about fishing tackle, tips, and locations.

I think that fishing is about knowing your waters and lots of skills...and of course patience.....

In the case of Mc Laurin Bay I live 3 km away... so for me it is the body
of water I fish most.....I started fishing the bay in 1988! It is still the best practice range I can find!

That said it is fare to say that I know it well.

The information I can provide about a place and time at Mc laurin Bay
changes all the time all year around. There is no mystery about a windlass
tip up that jiggs itself in the wind but they have proven to be more successfull than any other winter fishing rod because I did my homework
to see what was working most and what was the best. Don't put snow in the hole it won't jigg the bait...walk around and clean your holes!

As for bait well medium minnow alive if possible...but if dead the tip up will jigg it.

You need a fish finder it's a must. or gps to find location

As for the location on the bay where things appen...well that changes also
and if you come to Mc laurin Bay one day and see me on the water it would be a good decision to follow me around

I had a coach that hated when we celebrated, he said it was a sign that we did not expect to win.

I like seeing trophy catches, enjoy seeing them even more when they are released.

I know several great anglers that lurk here, many catch on average 14-18lb bags consistently on T day. However, you never see them posting their daily catches.

We need to encourage new fishing techniques and presentations so we all can learn. We should practice slot limit harvasting. Limit the "when and where" location information and show off our true trophies. I see little learned from posting pics of daily milk runs!

I did enjoy seeing the pic of the trophy pike (Congrats), as for 30 incher, I've seen plenty of those.

Uhhh Frank I hate to be the one to point out the obvious, but you need Ice to ice fish (and I don't mean the ice in your gin and tonics).
